Advancement
On the Trail to Eagle, Scouts learn new skills meriting advancement. Troop 526 uses Scoutmaster Conference forms to prepare Scouts for completing each rank. Additionally, we offer some resources for Eagle preparation, annually offer religious awards, and the ocassional merit badge.

Merit Badges
Currently, no merit badges are being earned as a whole troop. For opportunities for individual scouts, please contact a merit badge counselor. If you have a suggestion for badge opportunities at a meeting, please speak with your patrol leader or the SPL.
Awards
BSA offers many achievement awards for Scouts who excel in specific areas of the Scouting Program. Some are honorary; others are more commonly earned on trips such as Summer Camp. For a more thorough listing of award opportunities available to Scouts, consult the Scout Handbook or Scouting.org.
Religious Awards and Participation
A Scout is reverent. Troop 526 processes in with Pack 526 at monthly 12:30pm masses at St. Albert the Great. Our Scouts also work towards the Ad Altare Dei and Pope Pius XII awards. Work often begins in October. For more information, please contact Paula Berghauser.
Order of the Arrow
Scouting's national honor society, Order of the Arrow, is almost as old as the Boy Scouts of America itself. Its purpose is to recognize those who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. To qualify, members must be voted in by their peers and have experienced 15 days and nights of BSA camping within two years prior to their election. Troop 526 holds OA elections in early January.
