Liturgical ministers ensure masses and church events are coordinated, staffed, and celebrated with reverence and devotion. These ministries help St. Albert the Great Parish to accomplish its Vision 2025 by providing a friendly, and welcoming experience of Church.

Adult Funeral Servers
Adult men and women participate in a ministry of consolation by assisting the priest for funeral liturgies.

Camera Operator for Live-Streamed Masses
We have two live-streamed masses each weekend where a camera operator is needed. The camera is operated via an i-pad with a simple schematic. Parishioners are easily trained, and open to either adult or youth.

Children, ages 3-9, are invited to participate in a children's friendly version of the Liturgy of the Word.

Eucharistic Adoration Chapel
Parishioners are encouraged to try to spend one hour weekly in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament in response to the Lord’s invitation to “Spend an hour with me.” Our goal is always to have at least two people, who are called “Adorers”, in prayer in the Adoration Chapel for every hour.

Extra-Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Distribute the Body and Blood of Christ to the assembly at Mass. They may also carry the Eucharist to the homebound.It is a two-step process to become an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion:
Step 1 – Individuals must complete training provided by the Dioceses of Cleveland. Available training dates and locations are noted periodically in the weekly Church bulletin. Or, if you were previously an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at another Church, please obtain a copy of your minister certificate from your prior Church.
Step 2 – Individuals will then be trained on the specific procedures and practices that are utilized at St. Albert the Great.

Funeral Ushers
Periodically attend funeral masses and serve simply through a ministry of kindness and presence.

Funeral Luncheon Ministry
We provide a luncheon to the grieving family and friends of the deceased. Work in two shifts: set up and cook, the serve and clean up. Our volunteers are compassionate, available on short notice, and able to stand on their feet for several hours.

Martha Society
A small group of St. Albert parishioners who grow in knowledge of the Lord by serving and caring for the worship of our parish. Tasks include polishing brass, cleaning plastic, attending to Holy Water fonts and more. Additionally, Marthas learn the proper names of religious objects used for worship, the various feast and occasions for their use, and their respectful treatment.

Mass Coordinators
Prepare and set-up needed elements for the Mass, and attend to details prior to Mass, such as preparation of: The Credence Table, the Altar, the Gifts Table (bread, wine, water, chalice, accompanying cloths, liturgical books; lights and sound system, etc.). Review the sign-in sheet for all those persons assigned to serve at the Mass (Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion, Lectors, Servers, and Announcer) are present.
