Reaching Out

  • St. Albert the Great continues to exemplify our Parish Vision 2020- Holy, Kind and Giving as we continue to reach out to our neighbors, and keep them close, during this unparalleled time we are living in.
    Here’s what we are doing:

    • Initiated a Friendly Call Program for our senior parishioners
    • A team of 14 volunteers is actively calling our parishioners age 75 and beyond to “check-up” on them, and to inform them of the following:
    • Where one can view daily Mass and prayers
    • Asking if one would like Our Lady of Lourdes Novena and a weekly bulletin placed in the mail.
    • Confirming contact information-address and phone
    • Ask if in need of groceries
    • Ask if there are any other needs the parish can assist with
    • The Feeding the Hungry Ministry is continuing to serve our neighbors who depend on a meal from area hunger centers by providing brown bag lunch items to sites such as St. Herman’s, St. Pat’s on Bridge Avenue, and more.
    • Our Family Aid Society will continue with monthly food distributions to its clients.
Basic needs are changing daily, we are doing our best to anticipate these needs and implement actions as change occurs.  We are prepared.  If you would like to help, here’s what you can do:
    • Letter or card writing for our friends in area nursing homes
    • Join the Friendly Call Program by making calls from home to our parishioners
    • Picking up and delivering grocery items to our senior parishioners in need
    • Donating brown bag lunch items such as bread, bottled water, granola bars, protein bars, clementines, lunch size bags of snacks, brown bags.
    • Let us know if you are aware of someone who needs our assistance
